Young children are highly vulnerable to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.  NZ statistics on child abuse rates and deaths, caused very often by someone known to the child, are harrowing. The Internet and new technologies are posing new risks to young children and teens. Parents and professionals have a plethora of books to choose from for help on child protection and safety matters.
