The one thing every parent, caregiver and educator wishes most for a young child is to have a happy and fulfilled childhood.

You can best support children's well-being and provide a strong foundation for their ongoing learning, development and achievement through:

• shared fun and laughter
• love and consistency of care
• lots of play-based learning opportunities
• lots of talking talking about things they have seen or done before and relating to what they are seeing or doing now 
• lots of opportunities to engage in a broad range of activities in the community.  For example,  through travel, shopping, attending an early childhood service and experiencing preschool-style activities and different ways of doing things, going to the beach, walking up a hill and viewing the scene above and below,  watching diggers at work, visiting friends, collecting and identifying feathers, etc, etc.
