Responding to Gifted Children: Information from Workshop Presentations
At the Rainbow in My Head professional development day in Wellington in July 2010, Valerie Margrain (Massey University lecturer), Sue Breen (The Gifted Education Centre, lead teacher) and Sarah Farquhar (ChildForum) presented a workshop on Responding to Gifted Children.
The discussion was interesting and valuable for insights into each others' experiences and needs for support in working with or in parenting a child who is gifted.
We recommend that you look out for other such workshops. Or through ChildForum, the NZ Assn for Gifted Children or GiftedNZ you can link up with others who are parenting or working with a child who is gifted and share information and experiences. At the end of this article ChildForum members can add their comments and share their thoughts.
