Children are by nature noisy, and working in an early childhood setting can therefore be a noisy working environment particularly during bad weather when children are stuck indoors all day.
Employers do have a duty to try and keep noise down and protect worker’s hearing but this can be difficult when dealing with children and so those working in the ECE sector can be at risk of hearing loss.
