ChildForum puts the voice of children center-stage by being available to assist policy-makers, NGOs, parents, teachers, teacher educators, preschool managers and owners, and researchers who want to do their very best by children.
Sarah has five children of her own. She has substantial experience and knowledge in the early childhood area and previous roles include: teacher, teacher educator, university academic, and chief executive of the ECC representing centre owners.
In 1998 Sarah founded the highly successful NZ Early Childhood Research Network to provide a forum for researchers and increase the production and standard of research. Annual research symposiums/conferences continue to be run by the Research Network under the umbrella of ChildForum. The NZ Research in ECE journal is published annually. Having had a break from operating ChildForum Sarah is coming back and will be re-building this website to provide substantial online information and support to parents, teachers/centre managers, and researchers.
For policy advice, confidential consultations, research, article writing, project management, and informed comment on issues, Dr Sarah Farquhar and her team at ChildForum can help you.
