Creating Father Friendly Early Childhood Education Services and Involving Dads
Dropping their kids off and picking them up from childcare or another education service is something most Dads do. It is common unfortunately for dads to report that they do not always feel welcome and comfortable about staying especially when they look around and see mostly women and few or no other male adults.
Ideally early childhood services should have male and female staff; however both genders are not often represented. Here is information on what early childhood centres can do to support fathers to feel welcome and involved.
