Membership and Resource Reviews
Opinion of Sheree Macready about:
I definitely recommend joining ChildForum to other ECE educators and managers. Lots of information via the weekly update and on the website. Great conferences. Very good value! Sheree Macready
Opinion of Mike & Janice about:
As parents, we've found ChildForum information so good and so vital to the upbringing of our child. You've helped us to make wise choices for our little girl! Mike and Janice
Opinion of Michael Lee-Houtwipper about:
What an awesome Kit! Thanks for saving us $19,000 tax paid in advance for two services. The Grants Summmary worksheets are easy to use and guarantees accuracy simply by copying in the right places from the Ministry Funding Notices. This helps our accountant and saves time and cost. The Teacher Support Grants Registers are in a good format to plan with the teacher as well as being easy to audit. Thanks a million! Mike Lee-Houtwipper, Director, Smart Start Montessori
Opinion of Meg Moss about:
The Kit is very compatible with the needs of our centre. It covers many gaps which I was aware of but had not the resources to rectify. It explains the complexities of accounting practices in “layman’s” terms which is very important for committees such as ours where we have a Board of parents who may not have the expertise in the area. It also helps us establish systems which are useful when we have changes of Board members. It incorporates many useful governance and management tools, ranging from the quick daily profit measure, through to situation analysis and long-term strategy planning tools for all aspects of our service, not just the money ones. It has also helped me understand some accounting principles which have eluded me before (such as the definition of profit and the accounting equation). The spreadsheets and other templates are easy to use and to modify for our centre.I found the whole resource interesting and quite fun to use – a pleasant surprise for an accounting kit!I would recommend the resource to anyone working in ECE. Meg Moss, Head teacher, Mt Albert Research Centre Early Childhood Centre

Parents Say ...
I have just discovered the ChildForum site and I'm really impressed by what I see. It has a great tone of intelligence, communication, good nature and, above all, a genuine commitment to the well being of the child - something which often seems alarmingly absent in discussions around care and education of preschoolers at the moment. Thanks!
Annabel Calder (mother of 3 and former primary school teacher)
Professionals Say ...
ChildForum is a great platform for ECE professionals to share knowledge as well as challenge our own practice, beliefs and bias.
Cassandra Yeo, Manager, Early Years and Education, University of Canterbury.
I am delighted NZ has a “Think Tank” that combines research with values and virtues.
Heather Anderson, CEO/Director, Kiwicare Pre School
I must say after years of attending the Early Childhood Council (ECC) conferences and giving up on them a couple of years ago, it was refreshing to come to ChildForum's national forum and get some different information coming through that is relevant to us owner/managers out there needing to know what is really happening.
Shona Hewitt, Centre Manager, Pupuke Early Education Centre.
