Membership and Resource Reviews
Opinion of Ros Craven about:
Thank you to the fabulous team at ChildForum. I have been a member now for a year and I find your weekly updates the easiest way to stay current with issues affecting the early childhood sector.
Opinion of Kim Jones about:
I started getting newsletters from Childforum and found them interesting but needed to be a member to access the research and articles. I must say it is money well spent on membership as Childforum has provided me with much valuable information and practical solutions.
Opinion of Jennifer about:
Our team members' thinking has been lifted quite a few notches by your excellent articles on policy and practice matters and critical analysis. We now operate much more effectively thanks to ChildForum. Keep doing what you are doing and more please!!
Opinion of Hayley Field about:
Being a member is a huge help for my assignments (& grades!). I can now write about research my tutors haven't caught up with yet.
Opinion of Sheree Macready about:
I definitely recommend joining ChildForum to other ECE educators and managers. Lots of information via the weekly update and on the website. Great conferences. Very good value! Sheree Macready
Parents Say ...
I have just discovered the ChildForum Network and website site and I'm really impressed by what I see. It has a great tone of intelligence, communication, good nature and, above all, a genuine commitment to the well being of the child - something which often seems alarmingly absent in discussions around care and education of preschoolers at the moment. Thanks! (Annabel Calder, mother of 3 and former primary school teacher)
Professionals Say ...
I just need to congratulate you once more on the quality of the information that ChildForum provides. It is so useful to my work as it’s a quick way to catch up with the current ECE issues but also get a ‘distilled’ version that I can absorb quickly. Anyway thanks again Sarah and team. I look forward to my ChildForum newsletter each week. (Jo Davies, National Practice Leader-Early Intervention)
I have to say this. Last year Kaye constantly told me about these great articles she had read in ChildForum, and my response was . . . Yeah Right. From experience a lot of early childhood 'stuff' is pretty basic, outdated, not on the cutting edge of research, and often of a political nature. By the middle of last year I was in awe of the quality of material coming from your organisation. It's no superlative to describe it as fantastic: balanced, insightful, practical, relevant, helpful and always enriching. In short it's a breath of fresh air.Like the Harvard Business Review journal is to the business world, ChildForum is to early childcare. Well done and keep up the important work you are doing. (Ian McKean, Parents Partner, Leadership Development)
ChildForum is a great platform for ECE professionals to share knowledge as well as challenge our own practice, beliefs and bias. (Cassandra Yeo, Manager, Early Years and Education, University of Canterbury)
I am delighted NZ has a “Think Tank” that combines research with values and virtues (Heather Anderson, CEO/Director, Kiwicare Pre School)
I must say after years of attending the Early Childhood Council (ECC) conferences and giving up on them a couple of years ago, it was refreshing to come to ChildForum's national forum and get some different information coming through that is relevant to us owner/managers out there needing to know what is really happening (Shona Hewitt, Centre Manager, Pupuke Early Education Centre).
