New Report on Level of Support for Increasing Child Numbers in Centres
New Report on Level of Support for Increasing Child Numbers in Centres
| News for Early Childhood Education |
ChildForum has released a new policy research report: "Good Common Sense or Putting Children at Risk? A Report on Reactions to a Change in Regulation for NZ Early Childhood Centres to Increase Child Numbers"
Click here for a PDF copy of report
Thank you to the 450 people who responded quickly to the survey following a notice appearing on the Ministry of Education website that there would be a change to the regulations increasing by three times the current maximum number of children a service may be licensed for. We were amazed at the level of interest (and concern) about this regulation change.
You are welcome to forward the link for this report to your colleagues and friends. The link is:

Should you not have been able to submit your view, because we had so many responses and had to close it at 450 responses, we hope that you will take up the opportunity to add your comments and ideas (see some of the ideas listed at the end of the report and the call for more).
