Safe Sound Indicator
The Safe Sound Indicator (SSI) works by measuring the noise volumes around it, and uses a traffic light system to indicate when noise volumes are reaching levels that prolonged exposure may be damaging to children and staff alike.
Parents and teachers have found that the SSI helps to increase awareness of, and teach children about noise, sound, and safe noise levels. It is an excellent tool to help children learn about noise and to help them self regulate their noise levels.
Having the SSI can help early childhood services meet Early Childhood regulation noise control requirements and their obligations for health and safety.
As the exclusive agent for the SSI in the early childhood sector, ChildForum is pleased to offer the SSI at a special price of just $292.50 to ChildForum members. For more details and to order click here ...

'Be Brave' is a very special book that can help children to trust and to speak up when someone is 'hurting' them. It communicates with the child-reader at his or her own language level.
Karen Rochester has written a very touching and powerful book for young children.
The book tells how it is normal to experience changes in feelings and behaviour if something like this happens. It also supports and encourages the child to find a safe person to talk to about it. ‘It is not your fault!’ is reiterated throughout the book. Click here for details and an order form ...
