Choices for Children: Childcare & Edn Services

"Choices for Children" provides a delightful peek into licensed homes-based services and centres in New Zealand.  It is accompanied by a well-informed commentary on what people should look for and ask about when choosing or reviewing the quality of a service. 

This VHS video cassette was produced especially for parents of young children.  The video provides a very positive promotion of early childcare and education.  It is also eduational when viewed by people such as high school students considering their career options.

The goal of the video is to give parents every chance to find an early childhood experience that is right for their child, their families and themselves. 

Parents are encouraged to explore these questions: What can my child learn? Will my child be happy? Will my child be kept safe and health? How suitable is the physical environment? Will our family values, cultural beliefs and language be supported? Will my needs as a parent be met?

The answers to these questions focus on parents deciding on what they like, what is important to them and which service best matches what they want.
