Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)

  • 3 years full-time (a part-time option is available)
  • On-campus programme in Porirua
  • February – November study year

 

The Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)is designed to develop confident, competent, capable, critical, reflective and thoughtful professional early childhood teachers with the ability to apply this knowledge in Aotearoa/New Zealand and international contexts.

This programme is inclusive of three social/cultural perspectives: Pacific, Māori and General (Western and others), and offers an approach that aims to be integrated, interrelated and interdependent.

Graduates will be able to develop a variety of careers in early childhood education, such as a kindergarten teacher, a teacher in an early childhood centre and an educator in parenting programmes, or manage homebased care organisations.
