During Alert Level 3, the Ministry increased the minimum room temperature to 18 degrees but at Alert Level this is no longer a requirement.
The World Health Organisation recommends an indoor room temperature of 18 degrees for residential living spaces.
The Ministry is interested in feedback on this before changing the licensing criteria to permanently increase the minimum temperature from 16 to 18 degrees.
