The one thing every parent, caregiver and educator wishes most for a young child is to have a happy and fulfilled childhood.
You can best support children's well-being and provide a strong foundation for their ongoing learning, development and achievement through:
- shared fun and laughter
- love and consistency of care
- lots of play-based learning opportunities
- lots of talking talking about things they have seen or done before and relating to what they are seeing or doing now
- lots of opportunities to engage in a broad range of activities in the community. For example, through travel, shopping, attending an early childhood service and experiencing preschool-style activities and different ways of doing things, going to the beach, walking up a hill and viewing the scene above and below, watching diggers at work, visiting friends, collecting and identifying feathers, etc, etc.
