How to Get More People to Respond to Your Survey or Participate in Your Research Study

It depends on one's point of view as to whether it is bribery or just simply a practical reality to offer a book voucher, entry into a prize draw, or another incentive to get people to do a survey or participate in a formal research study.

Today it is common for researchers who have no prior relationship with the people they are researching, to offer potential subjects incentives like book vouchers in return for their participation and  time.  

At organisations such as early childhood centres and schools, supervisors and management boards can sometimes struggle to get written survey responses from busy parents and yet engagement with families and parental feedback is an essential part of good governance and management and something the Education Review Office checks for.
