Why should men be involved in childcare and early education?
According to Dr Sarah Alexander of ChildForum, perhaps one of the main reasons is that the profession should represent society – and society has men as well as women. For men to be absent or not employed in childcare and early education services sends out a message that only women can care for, educate and be responsible for children.
