In these days of a tight job market, when teacher jobs are getting more scarce and more people are applying for each position, having a great application is becoming more and more important.
When you are competing with lots of other candidates, your initial application may be the only chance you get to impress your potential employer, because they will not have time to interview every single person. This means you cannot leave things out of your application assuming you will get a chance to talk about them at the interview.
Get the simple things right
A good application starts with the basics. First, find out if the application should be directed to someone in particular, for example, the centre owner or manager, or the supervisor or committee chairperson. If the application should be sent to someone in particular, then address your application to him or her by name rather than a more generic Sir or Madam.
