The Learning Centre is a small family owned, well-respected childcare centre located in the heart of Ponsonby. We are dedicated to providing quality child care, within a nurturing and homely environment.  In our last ERO report, we were VERY WELL PLACED to promote positive learning outcomes for children. We are an unusual centre who practice continuity of care, so ideally you would be willing to work with all age groups, but initially would be working with our older children.

You would be:
- An ECE qualified teacher.
- Have a Provisional or Full teaching certificate.
- Have some teaching experience
- Have a good understanding of what healthy attachment relationships looks like.

Are you interested in the works of Magda Gerber and Emmi Pikler? Are you interested in how this would look working with older chidlren? Are you interested to see this in practice in a centre fully committed to RIE and Magda Gerber's Educaring approach? Our commitment to RIE is evident the mentoring approach used in daily practice with teachers, and the value we place on key caregiving, small group sizes and excellent ratios and continuity of care for children where possible.

What's great about TLC:
- Competitive salary
- Additional sick leave
- Health and wellbeing allowance
- Long service benefit of extra leave
- A friendly and welcoming team
- A friendly and welcoming community
- Good professional development opportunities
