EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER

Langimalie Early Childhood Education Centre, based in Manurewa, plays a vital role in the local community by providing children and parents with a quality early education service that is safe, warm welcoming and Pacific.

We are a small team of 5 teachers that are dedicated to providing our children with a varied, active and relevant programme to give them the best possible start in education.

JOB PURPOSE

The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool programme in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

CORE COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Undergraduate degree in ECE teaching practice is a minimum requirement
Full teacher registration from New Zealand and Teachers Council
Knowledge of the current New Zealand early childhood curriculum
Understanding of strategic plans and their implementation
No convictions or cases pending for fraud, physical assault or substance abuse (includes alcohol). (subject to Police Vet Check)
Warm friendly personality
Good time management
Enjoys being with children

DESIRABLE SKILLS
Full Driver’s License
