Job Adverts - Relocate to the Beautiful Whitianga
Sadly, our Centre Supervisor has decided to retire after 38 years in the education sector.
We therefore have an exciting centre leadership and management opportunity in our well-established Community Based, Early Childhood Centre in rural Whenuakite. We are looking for an inspiring leader who will uphold our vision of a place where tamariki, kaiako and whānau connect with the wider community.
Our curriculum is inspired by the nature that surrounds us and the many outdoor experiences that our tamariki and whānau enjoy.
As a passionate and experienced leader, you will wear many hats to allow you to manage in an ever-evolving environment and be adaptable to meet a variety of needs as they occur.
With a sound knowledge of Te Whāriki, you will have the ability to inspire, support and coach a great team of teachers to deliver exceptional learning opportunities for children.
You will have a passion for mentoring newly registered teachers and bringing the best out of an exceptional team.
We are governed by a committee that is made up of diverse range of people, including community members, ex-whānau, current whānau, and kaiako. We pride ourselves on ensuring that everyone has a voice in our centre and our curriculum reflects such diversity.
The ability to connect with parents and families is critical, you will love working with families to establish strong professional relationships.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrable success in leading a team
• Fully ECE qualified and certificated teacher in NZ
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire
• Resourceful, driven, and full of initiative
• Good business acumen
• Highly developed organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills.

What we offer you:
• A wonderful working environment
• Ongoing professional development.
• A supportive governance committee who give you clear delegation.
