Teaching Standards heading for Graduating Standards. 3 weeks 6 days ago #19

The student teachers are not working in the job yet Education Council wants student teachers assessed on teachers standards. All these standards are stating the obvious of the profession - they are beautifully written with good emphasis on all the aspects of the job. Just because standards are a well listed expression of teachers work load it still seems pointless that teachers have to sit and document evidence for x 27 x 3 standards they have met while working for the sake of appraisals and for being checked up on by the Education Council.

The Education Council plan to read the portfolios of only 10% of teachers per year. What use is that; beats me?
