The following article includes the new and updated criteria for when an Early Childhood Education Service must report a teacher (or a teacher who has since left employment) to the Education Council.
The fine for ECE services failing to report is up to $5,000.
In this article we look at:
(a) The circumstances under which you must make a (mandatory) report about a teacher to the Education Council of NZ, and
(b) the dilemma of a confidential exit settlement and yet needing to meet the Education Council's mandatory reporting requirement.
