NZ's Largest Private ECE Centre Chain Purchases Kiwicare Auckland Centres

Kidicorp, the largest private provider of early childhood education in NZ has bought the Kiwicare group of centres in Auckland.

Kiwicare centres provide care for around 900 children in centres in Avondale, Papatoetoe and Mangere East, and also provide a range of services including play groups, primary education to Y2, and OSCAR care for 5-13 year olds.

Owners of the Kiwicare group, Heather Anderson and Mike Clark, always enthusiastic about childcare and education, showed how it was possible to grow a range of services responsive to parents needs and in some of Auckland's poorest areas.

Kidicorp is adding the Kiwicare group to its current holding of 251 centres, under 20 different brands (191 centres in the North Island and 60 in the South Island).

Says Wayne Wright, owner, “Kiwicare's philosophy of Healthy Bodies, Educated Minds, Successful Futures mirrors that of Kidicorp"

"We feel very strongly that the better prepared children are before school the greater chance they have of making the most of school.”
