Public funding available to open a new centre or expand a current service

money

Growing the number of services to increase the supply of early childhood education and business competitiveness between providers continues as the main government policy under the present government.

NORTHLAND

Applications by ECE service providers for the Ministry of Education to contribute up to $100,000 (GST excl) toward their costs of:

  • establishing a new centre, home-based service or certificated playgroup,
  • expanding and increase the number of licensed child places at your existing service, or 
  • providing innovations in service delivery that will boost your enrolments.

in the areas of:  

  • Whangarei  - Onerahi
  • Far North - areas surrounding Kaikohe including: Waima, Tautoro, Taheke, Otaua, Omanaia, Awaroa.
    Kaitaia East and surrounding areas including: Awanui, Kaingaroa.

are now being called for. Applications close on 14 March, 2019 at 4pm

AUCKLAND REGION

Applications by ECE service owners for grants of up $100,000 (GST excl) are now being called for in the Auckland region to:

  • establish a new centre, home-based service or certificated playgroup,
  • expand and increase the number of licensed child places at your existing service, or 
  • provide innovations in service delivery that will boost your enrolments.

Grants are offered under the Targeted Assistance for Participation Stream 3 (TAP3) scheme.

This round of grants covers the following areas within Auckland that the Ministry of Education seeks for more ECE services to open or grow bigger

  • Papakura North East
  • Opaheke
  • Papakura
  • Wymondley
  • Favona West
  • Viscount
  • Mt Wellington West
  • Walmsley
  • Akarana
  • Kingdale
  • Ranui Domain
  • Westgate

Applications close on 15 Feb, 2019 at 10am
